Birthday

So, it's my birthday today... it's kind of weird, as it always is at the beginning of a school year.  I nearly always end up celebrating my birthday with people I have just met.

And it has down-pour-rained for the past two days, there are floods, mudslide, power outages, tornadoes, fires in Texas - we've had hurricanes and earthquakes - power out in Southern California... and the 10th anniversary of September 11th is this weekend too.

And I am not really sure that I want to get older.  Juan is still across the country and I feel like my life is going by without him being truly in it.  I hope that changes really soon.

And last time, this year, I was around 130 pounds.  This morning, 137.6.  I didn't run yesterday because of the torrential school/road closing rains - and the condition is the same today.  Maybe I will bake cupcakes today for my class/roommates.  If I am feeling extra generous to myself, and I actually look only slightly fat in the mirror today, perhaps I will treat myself to veggie sushi for lunch.  Otherwise I may try to subsist on caffeine today.  Maybe a glass or two of wine tonight?
