Countdown

I was 126.8 after my run this morning.  4.8 miles :)  My fast yesterday proved favorable and today I am having breakfast (two rice cakes with vegan cream cheese and jam and a cup of herbal tea), a snack (1 piece whole wheat ginger biscotti), and a small salad (spinach and I'm not sure what else).

I am very pleased that everyone enjoyed the thinspo yesterday.  I just do a lot of random flickr and weheartit searches to find all of those photos.

I know I posted about my favorite Nutcracker Sweet tea, but I think I have a new favorite, Sugar Cookie - I swear to you, it almost tastes buttery!  It does not need any sweetener and it is great with or without a splash of soymilk.  I highly recommend it.  And if it is for some reason not available on your side of the world (that means my lovely down-under girls Adeline and Alice D and Cinnamon in South Africa) please let me know, I could always mail some!

One last thing... grateful thanks and big hugs to my new followers.  I am always amazed at the kindness and support everyone expresses on my blog.  Putting good things into the world like that is not only good for you in the moment, but will make the world a better place and come back to you in the end.  I hope each of you find strength and peace in your week as we begin today.  Whether you're trying to find self-discipline, regain control, recover, or just know yourself better, I hope you are blessed this week.

Lots of love.

Calmed down

I felt terrible last night, but woke up in a much better mood.  I decided not to fast after I got on the scale (post lax-tea, mind you) and saw 126.8.  I then went to a "Burst" class with a friend at our local gym.  According to my heart monitor, I torched just shy of 500 calories.

Thank you, lovely readers, for encouraging me and giving me some perspective.  You are all too nice.  Fasts work much better for me when they are not punishment, so I ate two rice cakes with vegan cream cheese and jam for breakfast, one square of chocolate, and I just made soup (frozen veggies soup base, 90 cals, 1/4 c veg. stock, maybe 5 cals, 1/4 c tomato juice, not sure, and some Chik'n strips) with two more rice cakes.  I am going to take my cleanse pills and hope for the best in the morning.  I am going to run before my dentist appointment and probably not have much else tomorrow, since I am having some minor repair work done and will be all novocained.

I am seriously considering joining this fitness center for the winter months.  It's a chiropractic, new-age kind of place with a great class schedule and I will have somewhere to go when it is too cold/snowy to run outside.

Thank you, again, for the constant support and encouragement.  I have eight days to see 124.something.  I could never do it without you girls.

I promise to comment tonight and take photos in my running gear/of Moses tomorrow.

Dashing through the snow

This is the view from my window... I woke up this morning to a lovely dusting of snow and decided it was the perfect opportunity to get my bum out of bed and run four miles. I feel totally invigorated now after lounging about for the greater part of yesterday evening watching Harry Potter.

I was 126.6 after my run this morning, so my plan is to eat a decent breakfast (1 banana with 2T natural peanut butter and 1/2c plain soy milk) as my only meal of the day. I'm eating it now and I'm not sure if I can even finish. I normally eat rice cakes for breakfast! Seriously, I left about a 1/4 of the banana in the bowl, I just can't do it. Anyway... I figure this breakfast should tide me over until (hopefully!) tomorrow. I need to hydrate well today because the air inside is very dry now. Lots of tea, water, and seltzer for me today.

Juan is coming on the 17th,  I hope he is surprised with my weight loss. The last time I saw him I was about ten pounds more than this. It's funny, because my clothes are obviously fitting differently, but when I look in the mirror I see absolutely no changes. I am still dissatisfied, particularly with my arms and legs. I now have eleven days to get to 125 or under.

I am going to get to leaving some comments. I was terrible over the weekend and barely wrote on anyone's blogs! Je suis désolée mes petites fleurs!

P.S. I will definitely post pictures of our new cat very soon... little Moses :)
P.P.S. Mich, I got the Evian spray at Sephora.
